‘The Big Grass Fire’

U.S. Customs use San Francisco Mint incinerator to burn 1,800 pounds of marijuana, 46 pounds of hashish and a few ounces of cocaine and heroin, all seized over a 2 year period. A U.S. Customs spokesperson said the fuel had a street value of between 450 and 500 thousand dollars. “Lest they induce a gigantic high,” the fumes were snuffed in the incinerator’s after-burner.
