This Yards Gone to Pot, 1935

“A San Franciscan was scheduled to go into court today to explain why he was growing marijuana in the front yard of his home. Rinaldo Gotti was arrested by State Narcotic Inspector Bernard Blonder and Agents Ed Oliva and William Grant. The State officers took Gotti into custody after they found the plants in full bloom. More than fifty gallons of untaxed liquor found in Gotti’s home by the Agents was turned over to the Federal Alcohol Unit. Gotti will appear before municipal Judge Alden Ames for a hearing. In the photo agents examine the Marijuana plot growing in the Mission District in San Francisco.”  San Francisco, California  July 26, 1935
